MilfDating.com diverges from some of the other sites in this category in that aims to hook up older women with single guys, rather than just toy boys. So if you're a more mature male then it's still worth checking out the site. You'll find some useful features and plenty of things to keep you occupied here. However, it's all a little crammed and navigating your way around might take a little adjusting to. As a free member you'll also have to put up with ads, which simply add to the clutter. It's not the cheapest site either, and the relative lack of active members online can make it feel a little quiet, which is a shame seeing that you've so many options for connecting at your disposal.

In addition to matching older women with guys seeking the more mature lady, you can also join as a couple or seek a couple, so it's not just about matching cougars with toy boys. Whilst the membership is global, most come from the USA, Canada and the UK, but you'll find members from all over, just not so many. At the time we conducted this review it wasn't easy to find out how many profiles were registered on the site, but we'd put the figure into the hundreds of thousands, which is quite impressive. The important thing however, is the amount of activity on the site, and this was less impressive, with just 102 online. Having a global outreach, obviously members in different parts of the world will be online at different times; however, the lack of buzz seems to suggest that a lot of profiles may be fake or inactive. This obviously affects your chances of finding dates.

The profiles are quite detailed and each profile lists a range of attributes and characteristics, as well as self-written sections about themselves and what they're looking for. Preview profiles listed in search results are also detailed, with thumbnail photo, age, location, and self-written blurbs, as well as ways to get in touch. Photos are reasonably good quality, but it's a little annoying that so many members stipulate that you have to request to see a profile photo. With reference to communicating, you can send and receive email, send a flirt (an automated message to express your interest in another member and start the ball rolling) or even cut to the chase and click on the button labeled 'Ask if she's interested'. To chat online there are chat rooms in which you can use your webcams to see and hear each other, as well as an IM feature if you want to chat in private. To chat IM you first of all need to request to list a member in your 'little black book'. Once accepted, you can chat IM. It also entitles you to access that member's private photos. Finally, it's also possible to add a profile to your favorites list.

Search tools are limited to a basic search (with a short range of general criteria), ideal if you're not too fussy. If you upgrade, you can access the premium search, with a wide range of criteria allowing you to be very specific in your tastes. There's also a nickname search available. In terms of other features, member forums allow you to post messages on various topics, reply to other members, or even start your own thread, and are a good way of connecting with like minded people. Meanwhile, Rapid Match lets you record whether you'd like to meet listed members based on their profile photos. If you do, they are then contacted to see if the feeling's mutual (10 per day for free members). You don't get all that much as a free member, limited to joining and creating your profile, browsing and using basic features such as sending winks. Unfortunately you can't send or open email messages, view all profile photos, use standard search or use the chat features. Upgrading here isn't the cheapest, but you can access all features and sign up for 3 months, giving you a discounted monthly fee. It's a great idea to take the 3-day trial, as you can try out all the features with minimal financial commitment. That said, the membership issues mentioned above suggest that you might want to shop around a little before settling here. In addition to a FAQs page and email support, premium members can enjoy priority live chat support (24/7) so that your queries are resolved immediately.

In summary, MilfDating.com doesn't quite fit the strict definition of cougar dating, but you'll still find a fair few MILFs looking for casual, no strings fun. However, an overhaul of the site format wouldn't go amiss, nor an influx of new members, in order to justify the price tag, which you could almost justify because of the range of useful and fun features.
